Parenting Enrichment Classes
Our office answers phone calls daily from parents, professionals and other
community members inquiring about child abuse and its prevention. Free classes
are offered throughout the community each year. Help is provided in parenting
infants and toddlers, preschoolers, school age children, teens, ADHD children
and troubled youth. A free dinner and child care are provided during most of the
classes. Call the Child Abuse Prevention Council office at (515) 725-2682 for a
list of current classes and locations.
Multi-Disciplinary Team
Fourteen professionals from medicine, therapy, education and other
disciplines provide joint consultation and open discussion to help practitioners
find the best treatment and service planning options for difficult cases. To
schedule an appointment with the team, which meets twice a month, call the
council office at 515 725-2682.
